14 Plex- The
Firestone EPDM membrane systems seen here shows just a few
of the diverse installation challenges met by EPDM roof
systems. Project scope was approximately 80,000 s.f. of
Firestone EPDM membrane. It was completed in 2000 by
Beachside Roofing. Although a rather large open field
predominates this particular project, you can see from the
photo that it was not free of details and complexities. This
photo taken 2/9/01, shows just how attractive an EPDM system
can be.

Concrete Slab on Pedestal-
Seen here is an example of how access below the plaza deck
is made simple by installing a pedestal/slab system over
your waterproofing membrane. When compared to the
alternatives (jack-hammering up poured-in-place concrete)
this is easy. This is smart! It's a good thing.

Aldocoat
System Details-
Observe the numerous penetrations and curb details that are
virtually self-flashing with the roof coating seen here on
Mauna Kea Towers project in downtown Honolulou. The membrane
is brought up the pipe stand and onto the pipe itself where
it terminates without clamping rings or other special
considerations. Good roofing preparation can allow a roof
coating system to extend the life of an aging BUR assembly,
effectively and on a budget.
